You’re familiar with carabiners, right? You might even know about multi-tool carabiners. But, I bet you’ve never seen a sleek carabiner equipped with a slider lock featuring an automatic locking mechanism, and – wait for it – packing 17 different tools/functions. Meet the GH Carabiner Titanium 17-in-1 EDC.
As the name suggests, this carabiner is crafted from titanium, making it not only tough and beautiful but also lightweight. Beyond the slider and automatic locks, and the usual suspects like a hex bit, flat head screwdriver, and bottle opener, this carabiner by Ant Pocket Tool, a sub-brand of Antdesign, also includes a level (yes, really!), a ruler in inches and mm, a fire starter, a Tungsten glass breaker, and a replaceable blade utility knife. Absolutely bonkers!
And that’s not even mentioning the magnetic storage, a keyhole for a lanyard or keyring, and slots for Tritium tubes. To be honest, though. As excited as I am by the sheer number of tools/functions, I’m not sure I need so many tools in such a compact form but if anyone needs a carabiner, the additional tools and functions could prove useful in daily life. After all, there’s a reason these tools are called EDC (Everyday Carry).
If you’re interested, you can find out more about Ant Pocket Tool’s GH Carabiner Titanium 17-in-1 EDC on Kickstarter, where it’s currently being crowdfunded. If you wish, you can also pledge US$49 or more to secure one for yourself.
The campaign is already funded, with 16 days left. This means a pledge essentially acts as a pre-order, with fulfillment of orders expected around July 2024.
