LEGO Ideas Godzilla and Tin Tin Green Lit

Forget about the MEGA Godzilla x Kong sets. Those are child’s play compared to Matthew Esposito, a.k.a. MattE720’s, proposed LEGO Ideas Godzilla build. Matt’s Godzilla not only racked up 10,000 votes but, to the delight of Gojira fans everywhere, it has officially cleared the LEGO Ideas review panel. That’s right—it’s going to be an official LEGO set!

Proposed LEGO Ideas Godzilla by MattE720

It may not be as jaw-dropping as the LEGO MOC Minus One Godzilla, but it’ll definitely make for a highly collectible set. Though fingers crossed, the designers over at LEGO do something about those slightly unserious eyes. And maybe the colors, too. A few different shades wouldn’t hurt.

Matt’s Godzilla isn’t the only one getting the green light. Another set that had been parked in The Parking Lot has also been approved—and it’s a legend in the comic book world. We’re talking about Tintin. Specifically, the Tintin – Space Rocket by Alexis Dos Santos, a.k.a. Tkel86.

Tkel86 used 1,665 bricks to recreate the iconic rocket from Explorers on the Moon, which—let’s be honest—needs no further introduction. It’s an awesome build and a must-have for any serious Tintin fan.

Of course, these sets won’t hit shelves exactly as-is. LEGO’s designers will work their magic to meet the toymaker’s standards, so expect a few tweaks here and there.
