Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Sports Coupe

Mercedes-Benz, or Mercedes-AMG to be specific, also has “black” car like BMW. But it is not literally black. It is the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Sports Coupe. Premiered a couple of weeks ago, the new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is now available to order from authorized dealers.

In addition to the obvious good looking, aerodynamically efficient design that’s derived from the current AMG GT3 race car (good god, look at those lines!), this to-die-for luxury sports coupe is powered by a 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine with an impressive output of 730 hp and turns out a metal-twisting 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.

That, btw, happens to be the most powerful AMG V8 production engine to ever been produced. Mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G, the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is capable of wiping the century spring in 3.2 seconds (and makes 200 km/h or 124 mph in 9), before topping out at 325 km/h (about 202 mph).

Other highlights include a new larger cooling air intake, a new carbon-fiber hood, two large exhaust air outlets made from black-finished carbon surfaces, motorsports-style suspension setup, and of course, the luxury appointment on the inside that one has come to expect from the three-pointed star marque.
