Nintendo Switch Mario Kart Live Home Circuit

Nintendo has a new Mario Kart game that blurs the line between reality and the virtual world. Folks, meet the Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, a game that lets you control a real-life Mario Kart with Nintendo Switch as you races through the virtual world on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite.

Here’s what the game is about in a gist:

“Race a real-world Mario Kart™ through your home! Use the Nintendo Switch™ system to control your kart and watch as it reacts to what’s happening in the game as you boost and drift to victory. Your in-home course comes to life on-screen with a view from right behind the driver’s seat.”

The most interesting bit of the game is, you can physically place gates and customize courses with the included gates and arrow signboards, and with everyday objects found in your house, then witness your creation come to live in different in-game environments in a point-of-view perspective.

Up to four players can compete against each other in select game modes – provided that everyone has a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite. Well, that sure sounds a ton of fun. Also, can I just say that this game basically turns your Switch into a remote control toy’s controller?
