Panasonic has introduced the new GNW10 SoundSlayer Wearable Gaming Speaker, a wearable gaming speaker that aims to immerse players in the true emotion of gaming. Hold up there. Haven’t we seen this before? Well, we did. Except that it features new speakers and is wireless. But the benefits are the same. It allows for audio immersion when playing games without clamping down on your ears, or cluttering up your desktop. It is like the middle path between headphones and desktop speakers or soundbar.
Panasonic GNW10 SoundSlayer Wearable Gaming Speaker features four newly developed 38 mm speakers arranged from front to back, creating realistic sounds from all directions to provide a deep, layered soundscape. Moreover, its new 130cc housing, which is 60 percent larger than the current SC-GN01 Wearable Immersive Gaming Speaker System, promises more acoustic pressure and significantly more powerful bass, further enhancing the immersion.
Users can customize their audio experience with the dedicated SoundSlayer app, which includes multiple audio modes tailored for different types of games, from role-playing games to first-person shooters and adventure games. It offers six sound modes, including three gaming modes, and yes, it is good for movies and music too.
GNW10 further offers a lightweight and ergonomic design that eliminates discomfort and pressure around the ears, head, and neck. It provides a robust wireless connection with low latency for an immersive gaming experience. The device also features AI voice control and advanced noise-cancelling technology to ensure clear communication even in the heat of gaming action.
It’s compatible with Windows 10/11 PCs, PS4/PS5 consoles, and the Nintendo Switch (TV mode only). The GNW10 also supports subwoofer output for a more powerful soundscape.
The GNW10 will be available for purchase in October 2023 for US$299.
