if you think a crossover or SUV is a little too “family” for you by the way of its look, then perhaps the Subaru VIZIV Concept Sports Crossover might change your perception. in the growing segment of sports coupe/crossover concept cars (or simply sports crossover), the VIZIV may just be in time to join the bandwagon with the likes of the Giugiaro Parcour Concept and the Lamborghini URUS Concept SUV that sports an unmistakable sports car body, but riding on a SUV chassis. you may have caught the world premier of the VIZIV in Geneva and it is now going to strut its stuff yet again at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September (regrettably, we miss it then). the VIZIV is a plug-in hybrid that comprises of a 2.0-liter Boxer-four DOHC turbo diesel unit along with a lithium-ion juiced permanent-magnet synchronous-type electric motors – one front and two at the rear. transmission comes in the form of a Lineartronic (CVT) item that transmit the power to Scooby’s signature symmetrical all-wheel drive system.

design wise, it is no doubt a bold one. bearing a shooting-brake styling with a steeply raked front windshield sweeping to a fastback style rear, the VIZIV has a very couple styling which is further accentuated by its stretched doors. other noteworthy features include a capacity for 4, huge 20-inch wheels, a driver-centric cockpit, Subaru’s driving assist “Eyesight” system, sporty instrument cluster with improved visibility, and custom information displays for both front and rear passengers. we are not expecting miracle and therefore, the Subaru VIZIV Concept Sports Crossover will be still be gracing the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show as a concept (along with the next-gen WRX, also a concept if nothing has changed) and we weren’t expect anything of the ordinary that has already been “announced” back in Geneva earlier this year. in the mean time, do check out a few glamor shots of this awesome sports crossover and also take a look the Subaru VIZIV Concept technology in the embedded video further below, or head-on down to the VIZIV official website to learn more.
