Transformers Collaborative Universal Monsters Frankenstein x Transformers Frankentron

Remember the Transformers Universal Monsters crossover, featuring Dracula? You’d be forgiven for not remembering because that figure, Draculus was released almost 2 years ago in 2021. We thought the collab had been terminated since we had not heard about it for such a long time.

Thankfully it did not. The second monster to get the Transformers treatment is here and it is none other than the iconic monster created by Victor Frankenstein. For those who don’t know, the monster did not have an actual name but for the sake of referring to it, it has been referred to Frankenstein and hence Frankenstein is also often used to describe things or objects that have been cobbled together from different parts.

Anyhoo, back to the Transformers Collaborative Universal Monsters Frankenstein x Transformers Frankentron… it is really Megatron getting the monster makeover and hence its alt mode is, not not a pistol, it’s a tank. So yeah, the iconic monstrosity created by Dr. Frankenstein is now a Transformers robot/tank, and it looks hella cool. Even though the monster is now a robot, it still bears the sculpt, deco, and details based on its appearance in the film. Very cool. It comes armed with a cannon accessory and blast effect piece. Here’s a short but no less interesting official description of the toy:

“It’s alive! Welded together from deceased Cybertronian parts, a new creation has escaped Dr. Frankenstein’s lab – Frankentron!”

Franketron figure, which is inspired by Frankenstein’s Monster from the 1931 Universal Pictures film, Frankenstein, converts from robot to tank mode in just 16 steps. Meanwhile, you may secure a copy from major toy retailers, Hasbro Pulse included, for US$34.99 a pop. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
