For those who have more faith in the grandaddy of power-generating stoves, BioLite, and have more dollars to spare, we thought we did let you in on the updated BioLite CampStove and BioLite FirePit.
The first BioLite CampStove was launched 10 years ago in 2012, introducing us to the novel idea of producing electricity outdoor for our small gadgets. We dig that and we still do.
The CampStove 2+ is the latest iteration, featuring the patented combustion technology that creates a vortex of smokeless flames for your outdoor cooking needs.
Fueled by sticks and twigs you find laying on the floor of the wilderness (or pellets if you are feeling rich), not only provide the fire for cooking with less to no smoke, it also produces electricity which you can use to charge up small gadgets like phones, lights, and more with 3W of power.
Power generated from the thermal electric generator is stored in the updated 3,000 mAh internal battery.
The stove packs down to the size of a 32 oz (0.9L) wide-mouth water bottle and tips the scales at 2.06 lbs (934g). Not the lightest but definitely the coolest looking and not to mention, from a reputable brand that has been doing this like forever.
Each CampStove 2+ comes with a bonus FlexLight with ChromaReal LED technology to light up the surroundings. Like the original, it is compatible with CampStove Complete Cook Kit, sold separately.

That’s for the light traveler. For those who need to support an entourage, and/or are out for some major wilderness cook-off or something of that nature, there’s the BioLite FirePit+.
Visually, it looks pretty much like the original and uses the same fuel too. However, with the 2021 update, it actually has an upgraded body design that radiates heat outward, an upgraded high-temp enamel coating for durability and easy cleaning, and an upgraded 12,800 mAh battery for longer burn times (which is up to 30 hours on LOW setting).
As before, you can leverage the power to charge your phones and whatnot. Similarly, it is compatible with FirePit accessories to complete your outdoor experience.
