After the retirement of the LEGO Volvo sets, including the awesome set based on the LEGO x Volvo concept, we thought there’s never going to be another, but here it is, the LEGO Technic 42114 5×6 Volvo Articulated Hauler. I am surprised not many talked about it.
The LEGO Technic 42114 5×6 Volvo Articulated Hauler is a pretty accurate representation of the Volvo’s biggest articulated hauler. For some reasons, LEGO Technic made it look extra realistic.
The set, which is recommended for ages 11 and up, packs 2,193 LEGO elements and it is powered by a large angular position motor, one XL motor and one L motor with a Bluetooth controlled Smart Hub for remote control using LEGO Technic CONTROL+ app.
With the app, you can drive the vehicle forward, reverse, steer, change speed and gear, and my personal favorite, unload the hauler’s bucket. The dashboard with authentic cockpit controls is customizable too.
When built, the truck toy model measures over 7 inches high, 23 inches long and 7 inches wide (20 x 60 x 20 cm). The power system requires a whopping six AA 1.5V cells which are not included. Go check it out.
It will make for an exciting for kids who are into construction machinery – if you are willing part with US$249.99 of your hard-earned money.
