we must have seen tons of stands for iOS and Android devices, and dozens of them dealing in natural amplification, but hardly any that can actually claim as one-size fits all and by all, we do mean nearly all devices – ranging from smartphones to tablets. this is where the OPUS Universal Device Stand with Sound Amplifier shines. first off, we are most certainly impressed by the accessory when not in use: they kind of looks like the yin-yang thing where two halves come together by the force of magnet, making it one handy ball-like form for easy storage and transportation. when ready to use, just pull the black and white stand apart, mount them on each end of your device and your device is all set for video chat, surfing the net, or watching movies. the stand is design to provide optimal viewing angle and doubles as a natural amplification for your device. one side offers natural amplification of your device’s speaker, while working in conjunction with the other half to prop up the device.

though it is not entirely true to say that the OPUS Universal Device Stand covers all devices – as a stand, yes. it would most certainly cover them all, but as far as sound amplification goes, it depends very much on the device’s speaker location. for downward firing speakers such as those on iDevices should work awesome, but we can’t say the same for other makes. in any case if you are in the market for a stand that you don’t have to throw away when switching platforms or changing devices, or one that could cater to your myriad of smartphones and tablets, then there’s no question the OPUS Universal Device Stand is the ultimate go-to stand. as of now, the OPUS Universal Device Stand is yet to be a reality, but you can help by pledging for this project on Kickstarter, which would only cost you 25 bucks. go ahead and check these guys out.
