If you are a creative who values color accuracy, a mundane appliance like a desk lamp becomes critical. That said, I don’t believe there is not color-accurate lamp for creatives yet, well, that’s until now. Folks, meet the Redgrass R9 Desk Lamp for Creative People.
Redgrass R9 Desk Lamp is everything a desk lamp should be and more. So what makes the R9 different? Well, for starters, it offers 1,800 lumens of maximum brightness that is capable of outputting 3700 lux at 45 cm (18 inches). To put the brightness in context, a typical desk lamp for drafting maxes around 1,100 lumens. So, you get an idea of how bright it can get.
In addition to the brightness, the pure-white daylight 5000K promises the ultimate color experience with lab-tested CRI Ra 98.5+ with R @98. Redgrass said that the CRI is far better than any desk lamp ever created.
Another unique feature is the twin rotating LED bar’s design with 60° lenses that allow for max illumination with precision focus on a specific zone, or balance light over a wider area, or any shape of light you need. Each bar has 280° of smooth rotation.
All told, the Redgrass R9 Desk Lamp packs 96 innovative LEDs with over 50,000 hours of lifespan. And it is easy on your eyes too, thanks to the significant reduction of blue light and flicker-free technology. The lamp further touts shadowless, no-glare technology, and it is dimmable from 10-100%.
The lamp is presented in powder-coated aluminum with a pitch black matt finish, and a signature touch of red offered by the cable. Rounding up the package is a foldable design that allows it to be folded away (while still clamped to the desk) when not in use.
The Redgrass R9 has recently been awarded the reddot Best of the Best 2023.
