Star Wars Trench Run Mini Kinetic Sculpture

Remember the LEGO MOC of the Death Star trench run by Wani Kim? Well, here’s another one. This one, though, is significantly less detailed and much smaller. But making up for the lack of size and details, is motion. Yes. This adorable iteration of the memorable scene from the A New Hope is in fact an adorable kinetic sculpture.

Star Wars Trench Run Mini Kinetic Sculpture

Created by NZ-based Instagram user @grantmasters, this Star Wars Trench Run Mini Kinetic Sculpture was based on kinetic sculptures of Jason Allemann, aka JK Brickworks, who also previously did his own version of Star Wars Trench Run Kinetic Sculpture.

If you don’t already know, Allemann is the same person responsible many awesome LEGO kinetic sculptures and the co-creator of the LEGO Ideas 21315 Pop-Up Book.

Anyways, we think grantmasters’ version is just as awesome and rather hypnotizing to watch. The sculpture isn’t powered. Everything that moves is control by a single dial behind the sculpture.

You can see it in action on Instagram. While you are there, make sure you check out grantmasters’ other awesome creations.
