I guarantee that this will be the most exciting news for fans of Transformers, specifically the animated series, today. What you see here is Transformers: War For Cybertron Unicron, the harbinger of death and destruction, and the ultimate villain in the Transformers universe first seen in the Transformers: The Movie (1986, Sunbow Productions). You will not be able to tell the sheer size of this action figure.

Transformers: War For Cybertron Unicron

That said, I am not sure if you can still refer it to an action figure because, this thing is enormous. Like 27 inches (69 cm or 2 feet 3 inches) tall kind of enormous. It is even bigger in planet model, measuring 30 inches (76 cm or 2 feet 6 inches) in diameter. Yes, it is totally transformable! I am pretty dumbfounded at this point. It is not just the size that impresses; it is the details promised that will leave fans’ jaws gaping.

It has over 50 points (!) of articulation, including articulated fingers for picking puny Transformers figures, and it has got articulated mouth with movable teeth and movable eyes. As a planet, it features the iconic planet-devouring jaws and massive posable planetary rings. All told, this monster of Transformers toys weighs in at around 19-freaking-pounds (8.6 kilograms). Absolutely bonkers.

If materialized, Transformers: War For Cybertron Unicron will be the biggest Transformers toy ever. Dwarfing even the imposing 2-foot tall Metroplex introduced several years ago and makes the 20-inch tall Transformers Decepticon City looks like child’s play. Alright. Enough of the amazement over this gigantic toy. Now for the crucial part of this news: it is something money can buy (yay).

But like its sheer size, its asking price is equally impressive. Transformers: War For Cybertron Unicron will run you back at a cool $574.99. There’s a caveat though. Hasbro is taking Unicron to HasLab like it did with the Star Wars Jabba Sail Barge. This means that it will only see fruition if it gets 8,000 people who are willing to commit to this nearly 600 dollars monstrous toy. If you’re still deciding, you may want to know the campaign on Hasbro Pulse will run from now until August 31, 2019 at 11:59PM EST.
