It looks like the Star Wars fever is really heating up and not surprisingly, it is not the doing of fans. Businesses are taking advantage of the growing hype running up to the seventh film release this December. We have already seen a boatload of Star Wars themed merchandizes including a mini moving fridge, a Star Wars aircraft, wallpaper mural, plushies, philatelic, and even showerheads, and now, UK shoe maker, Irregular Choice, is at it too. But how do you incorporate Star Wars theme into footwear? Rather then just throwing the appropriate graphics into the mix (which they do have also, btw, but not as impressive), Irregular Choice shoves iconic Star Wars characters like Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Yoda, and R2-D2 as the heels of the high heel shoes.
So instead of the usual stiletto, willing ladies will be elevated by these pop culture icons. There’s even a pair that’s elevated by Lightsaber with wearer-activated light and sound effects. Pretty neat, eh? And oh, Chewie has a part too, as a pair of winter boots replete with brown faux fur, silver laces and chunky rubber soles and digital Chewbacca prints across the counter.
